Backup

GNARBOX Feature

In recent years, we have seen more and more cameras coming with dual memory card slots. Some even have two identical slots to make life easy.

If you are shooting irreplaceable images, such as at a wedding, on a trip, or at other one-time events, having a second copy of your photos gives peace of mind to those concerned about memory card loss, theft, or a card going bad.

See the full article for tips on how you can back up and edit your images using GNARBOX, without having to lug around a laptop or depend solely on memory cards.

Better Backup

Fault Tolerance: At its simplest, you treat two physical disks as one, with one being a live copy of the other one. If the primary fails, the second kicks in and things work as they always did except you get an error that a disk has died. It’s easy to do, but as each disk is a replica of the other, it’s not particularly inexpensive.
