What is International Women’s Day?
International Women’s Day was created in 1911 to celebrate the achievements of women and supporting women’s equality. Whether in the workplace, at home or within society, International Women’s Day is about the reflection on the progress that has been made, calling for change where needed and to celebrate everyday acts of courage and determination by women everywhere who have played an huge roles within their community.

This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias, to put an end to the potential biases that affect female creators, who may be overlooked for opportunities based on their gender through discrimination or stereotyping.
Whether deliberate or unintentional, bias makes it difficult for women to move ahead and they are often overlooked despite their level of talent and experience.
