Perhaps you’ve heard of the Peak Design Capture camera clip. It started out as a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a new and interesting way of carrying your camera. Doing away with the traditional neck strap, or the new sling straps that have recently become quite popular for photographers, the Peak Design Capture attached to your existing straps or belts and holds your camera extremely tightly.
The folks at Peak Design recommended a bunch of very interesting ways to carry attach the clip to your person to support your camera on the go:

This is Larry from the Henry’s marketing department. As a very physically active person, Larry regularly runs and rides his bike to an from work. He’s even run a couple of marathons, and he’s actually rather fast! A photographer as well, it’s important to Larry that he have his camera with him – and accessible – everywhere he goes. This is true even when he’s riding his bike.
Not surprisingly, when attached to his backpack, the Peak Design Capture does an amazing job of supporting his camera while he rides. When there’s a little bit more weight in the backpack, the support for his camera is even better, evening out the weight in front and in back of him. I asked Larry if he was afraid that his camera would fall using while using the Capture in this way, and his response was a very enthusiastic “No!”
Larry has been using the Capture like this for a couple of weeks now – due in large part to the recent nice weather we’ve been getting in Toronto – and is still happy with his purchase!
The Peak Design Capture is built with a lock that can withstand 150lbs of force, much more than you’ll likely ever exert while using your camera or even while riding a bike. The nice thing about it is that it also works with most other accessories, including your tripod and other handstraps that you might have. Plus, it’s small and lightweight, so when you’re not using it, it stores away nicely in a camera bag or even in your pocket if you so choose.
