Determining Your Trade-In Price & Understanding Used Prices

To ensure transparency and fairness in our used product offerings, each item in our inventory is assigned a condition code. These codes help you understand the cosmetic and mechanical condition of the gear you’re interested in, ensuring you make an informed decision. Here’s a breakdown of our Used Product Condition Codes:

• Code 10: Item has never been sold or used by a customer. It may lack some retail packaging but is otherwise in pristine condition.
• Code 9: The product retains 100% of its original finish, although it might not include original packaging or instruction manuals.
• Code 8+: Boasts 90 – 99% of the original finish. It’s gently used, with only minor cosmetic flaws detectable upon close inspection. Optically and mechanically, the product is excellent.
• Code 8: Shows 80 – 89% of the original finish. There may be a few cosmetic blemishes, but optically and mechanically, it’s excellent.
• Code 8-: Reflects 70 – 79% of the original finish, indicating heavy usage that hasn’t impacted its functionality. Optically and mechanically, it remains excellent.
• Code 7: Exhibits 60 – 69% of the original finish with possible scratches or scuffs but no severe damage like corrosion or rust. Optically and mechanically, it’s very good.
• Code NH (Needs Help): Each unit under this category has a unique condition, possibly due to high shutter counts or significant wear. They are optically and mechanically good and operate within specifications, but extended warranties are not available.
